We are looking to recruit a talented Street Scene Operative – Level 3 (Grade 6), to work in our Street Scene team on a permanent full‑time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward‑thinking, dedicated team committed to delivering the best customer‑focused street cleansing and grounds maintenance services.
Responsibilities
- Conduct street cleansing operations as part of a team
- Act as a charge hand, leading a small team of operatives
- Perform litter picking duties, cutting back, and cleansing gateways into the borough
- Cleans hot‑spot areas and remove general detritus
- Operate a 3.5‑ton tipper vehicle to cover scheduled routes around the borough
- Work on a 37‑hour per week schedule
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must be able to provide documentation proving the right to work in the UK
- Valid driving licence and experience operating a tipper vehicle preferred
- Flexibility to work within a full‑time, on‑site schedule
- Can‑do attitude and commitment to improving service delivery
