We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrician to join our Housing Maintenance team. In this varied and rewarding role, you will carry out high-quality electrical repairs, maintenance, and installation work across a range of Council-owned properties, including tenants’ homes, communal areas, and public buildings. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our homes are safe, compliant, and maintained to a high standard, while delivering excellent customer service to our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out a wide range of electrical repairs, fault finding, and installations, including full rewires and circuit installations.
- Install and maintain systems such as central heating circuits, extractor fans, and containment systems (conduit/trunking).
- Undertake electrical testing and complete certification accurately using mobile technology.
- Deliver high standards of customer care, communicating clearly with residents and colleagues.
- Plan and manage your own workload effectively, ensuring work is completed on time and to quality standards.
- Carry out a range of multi-skilled tasks such as basic carpentry, plaster patching, plumbing, and brickwork.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and Council policies at all times.

- Significant experience in electrical work, ideally within social housing or domestic environments.

- City & Guilds 2365 Level 3 (or equivalent).
