Dudley Council is looking for an experienced Senior Information Analyst to join our Intelligence & Performance team, supporting safeguarding services across Children’s Social Care. This is a high-impact role where you will use data and intelligence to support decision‑making, improve services and ensure strong safeguarding practice. You will work closely with operational teams and senior leaders, bringing together data from across services to provide clear insight that drives improvement and supports inspection readiness.
What you’ll be doing:
- Producing high-quality analysis and insight to support safeguarding performance and improvement
- Leading on statutory reporting and performance returns
- Developing dashboards, reports and analytical tools to support operational and strategic decisions
- Translating complex data into clear, actionable intelligence
- Working with services to improve data quality, recording and performance management
- Supporting and leading analytical work across key safeguarding priorities
What we’re looking for:
- Strong analytical experience working with complex datasets
- Advanced skills in tools such as Excel, SQL and Power BI
- Ability to interpret data and influence decision-making
- Experience of Children’s Services, safeguarding or a similar public sector environment is desirable
- Strong communication skills, able to explain complex information to non‑technical audiences
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines
You’ll be part of a team at the centre of Children’s Services performance, working on high‑profile, meaningful areas that directly impact outcomes for children and families.
