The Black Country Federation is seeking a Business Manager to join our ambitious and improving partnership of schools. The Black Country Federation is a partnership of Brockmoor Primary School and Brierley Hill Primary School, both part of the Black Country Federation, committing to deliver an ambitious curriculum and secure the best outcomes for every pupil. Brockmoor Primary School is a recognised CUSP Lead School, working nationally with Unity Schools Partnership to support curriculum development and professional learning. Brierley Hill Primary School is a CUSP Lead School for Early Years and is working towards joining the wider CUSP Lead School network across the full curriculum by the summer term. Across both schools we maintain high standards and strong expectations, with clear ambitions for our pupils and the community we serve. Our culture is guided by our ASPIRE values, shaping our expectations and the opportunities we provide for every pupil.
This senior post is part of the Senior Leadership Team. The post holder is line managed and is accountable to the Headteacher and Governing Body.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead on the school’s financial management, including budgeting, monitoring and reporting
- Manage HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding and staff records
- Oversee administrative systems and ensure efficient daily operations
- Coordinate premises management, health and safety, and statutory compliance
- Manage contracts and service providers, ensuring value for money
- Support strategic planning and contribute to school improvement priorities
- Ensure policies and procedures are up to date and implemented effectively
