Social Worker - Fostering - Assessment Team

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: £39,152 to £46,142 per annum, grade and salary subject to experience

Working Hours: 37 hours per week

Location: Cable Plaza, Waterfront West, Brierley Hill, Dudley

The Role: Conduct assessments of potential foster carers, including those with children under kinship legislation, ensuring suitability and compliance with court deadlines. Work within the fostering assessment team, support supervision and support teams, and help maintain balanced workloads.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete assessments of potential foster carers.
  • Collaborate with kinship and supervision teams.
  • Support training and mentoring of new carers.
  • Provide regular supervision and guidance from the team manager.

Qualifications:

  • Fully qualified social worker with statutory social care background.
  • Minimum 12 months post‑qualification experience.
  • Completion of ASYE or at least 12 months post qualification prior to application.
