Black Country Federation - Brockmoor Primary School is seeking an Attendance Officer with Safeguarding and Pastoral Responsibilities to join our ambitious and improving partnership of schools.
Brockmoor Primary School and Brierley Hill Primary School work in close partnership as part of the Black Country Federation, sharing a strong commitment to delivering an ambitious curriculum and securing the very best outcomes for every pupil.
About the role:
- Ensure all students’ attendance is monitored on a daily basis and take relevant actions to raise and highlight levels of attendance across the year groups.
- Ensure that contact with a wide range of people is friendly, supportive and professional, and that complex queries and potential conflict situations are well‑handled.
- Work collaboratively with school leaders and the wider safeguarding/pastoral teams in both schools, providing consistent support to all pupils and responding appropriately to individual needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Great team player, friendly and professional.
- Excellent communication skills with pupils, parents, staff, stakeholders and external agencies.
- Ability to quickly build rapport and effective professional relationships with families, young people and colleagues.
- Previous experience of working with children in an educational setting.
- Demonstrated personal resilience and role‑modeling of personal qualities we wish to instil in our young people.
- Willingness and ability to work flexibly to meet the demands of the role.
