Responsibilities

  • Advanced Practitioners will be pivotal in establishing consistently excellent social work practice in our teams.
  • They will hold a caseload of children needing the most skilled help and share their expertise with others through modelling, coaching, reflective supervision and other learning activities.
  • The role involves intervening in areas of poor practice, demonstrating leading practice and developing the professional practice of team members.
  • They will provide formal support to others in a social work or social care role, which may include practice education of students or ASYE social workers.
  • The practitioner will be dynamic and driven to achieve strong outcomes for children, skilled in providing support and challenge to colleagues and families, and in creating change.

Qualifications

  • You must be a registered social worker with significant experience of working with children and families in a statutory social work setting.
  • Evidence of interventions in areas of poor practice, leading practice and developing professional practice of team members is required.
  • Experience of formally supporting others in a social work or social care role, including practice education of students or ASYE social workers, is preferred.
  • Qualified Social Workers with a minimum of 12 months post‐qualifying experience are welcomed.
