A Functional Analyst is sought to join a Tech for Good organisation, to assist with the scoping of Technical Specs for Developers as part of a large scale programme of work. This is an exceptional opportunity to make a real impact within a transformative technical environment. The successful candidate will serve a critical role in interpreting, converting and recording system architecture and technical specifications for software development and ongoing enhancement initiatives.

In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Develop comprehensive requirement specifications and establish priorities for technical projects using business and systems analysis.
  • Develop detailed process diagrams including workflow charts, process maps, and functional specifications.
  • Convert specifications from product managers and solution architects into development-ready features and user stories.
  • Perform analysis to identify enhancement opportunities and deliver effort estimation using Agile practices.
  • Communicate specifications to both technical and business stakeholders, ensuring comprehensive coverage of system and performance requirements.
  • Establish and sustain effective working relationships with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Balance conflicting priorities working closely with product managers, architects and developers to achieve stakeholder consensus.
  • Review and enhance business processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness from a technical standpoint.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing, Data Migration, and advanced troubleshooting activities.
  • Ensure all system modifications align with enterprise IT, architecture, and development frameworks.
  • Support technical architecture and development of systems, including databases, reporting platforms, and system integrations.
  • Oversee assessments and deployments of large, sophisticated system applications across multiple platforms and locations.

We are looking for a candidate who possesses:

  • Detailed knowledge of Business Modelling and Analysis, preferably within a Salesforce environment.
  • Proven experience in an IT Business/Systems/Functional Analyst capacity including requirement elicitation, documentation, estimation, and development team support.
  • Background in assessing and deploying sophisticated enterprise systems with comprehensive technical knowledge of IT solutions.
  • Strong grasp of Agile software delivery practices and structured project management approaches.
  • Outstanding verbal, presentation and written communication abilities with capability to build effective relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with ability to perform effectively under pressure in fast-paced product environments.
  • Background in process analysis, documentation, effort estimation and systems requirement specification.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce platform applications would be highly advantageous for this position.
