About the Role

This is a great opportunity for someone with solid secretarial experience who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and enjoys supporting a busy team of Fee Earners and Partners! As a key member of the department, you’ll provide essential administrative and typing support to ensure the smooth running of daily operations. You’ll play a vital role in helping to provide an exceptional service to clients.

In this varied and rewarding role, you’ll:

  • Prepare correspondence and legal documents through audio typing and word processing, including letters, forms, witness statements, and case documents.
  • Manage filing efficiently — opening and closing.
  • Handle incoming calls with professionalism, liaising confidently with clients, Counsel, and other parties.
  • Assist with case preparation, including booking Counsel, preparing Court bundles, and taking witness statements.
  • Carry out photocopying, scanning, and other general administrative tasks.
  • Record and input time accurately.
  • Work collaboratively with other secretaries and the wider legal team to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Always maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling client and firm information.
