Reporting to the CTO and collaborating closely with cross‑functional leaders, you will oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the engineering team—ensuring high performance, strong alignment, and delivery of meaningful product value. Key Responsibilities
- Translate high‑level company objectives into clear weekly and monthly engineering plans, defining project scopes and deliverables across product, science, medical, and regulatory domains.
- Drive consistent delivery of high‑quality solutions that raise the bar for our products and engineering standards.
- Continuously evaluate and improve engineering processes, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, strengthen collaboration, and reduce time‑to‑market.
- Foster alignment between Engineering and AI/Science teams, playing a key role in developing our first Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) product and applying your domain expertise to ensure compliance and excellence.
- Mentor, coach, and empower engineers to do their best work; promote a positive, resilient, and growth‑oriented team culture.
- Embrace change and maintain a proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset while navigating a fast‑moving environment.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proven experience leading and managing engineering teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross‑functional communication skills.
- Proficiency in designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs.
- Experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of microservices architectures and distributed system patterns.
- Cloud experience (AWS or GCP) and familiarity with modern infrastructure tooling.
- Strong capability in debugging, maintaining, and improving existing software systems.
- Healthcare technology experience, including working with standards such as FHIR, HL7, EHRs, or LIMS.
- Understanding of Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) principles and regulatory context.
