We are recruiting on behalf of a well established organisation for a Forklift Operative to join their operational team. This is a hands on role suited to someone practical, safety conscious and confident operating forklift and plant equipment. The position involves a mixture of forklift and production duties, and our client is open to speaking with candidates from a forklift, warehouse or production background.
The Role:
- Produce product using equipment to a high standard
- Operate mobile plant and fixed equipment
- Move and load product using a forklift
- Carry out basic maintenance and support plant operations
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence
- Experience operating plant machinery is desirable but not essential
- Basic engineering knowledge with the ability to respond to minor machinery issues
- Strong understanding of health and safety
- Good communication skills and a team focused approach
- Flexible attitude towards duties
Additional Information:
- Monday to Thursday, 7 am to 7 pm
- Friday, 7 am to 3 pm
- One hour unpaid lunch break
- Free onsite parking
- Own transport essential due to location, no public transport links
