Job Description: Sales Manager Salary: package OTE Β£50k Department: Sales Reports to: Sales & Experience Director Location type: Office Based, Ormskirk, Lancashire Employment type: Full-time Overview Our client is seeking an experienced, commercially astute and highly driven Sales Manager to lead our sales operation. This role will suit an accomplished sales leader with a strong telephone sales background, exceptional coaching ability and proven experience of leading high-performing teams through periods of change and growth. The Role As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding commercial performance while creating a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement. Working closely with the Sales & Experience Director and the wider senior leadership team, you will use data, insight and experience to drive conversion, maximise revenue and enhance customer experience. Key areas of responsibility Lead, inspire and develop a high-performing telephone sales team. Take ownership of all sales performance metrics, including conversion rates, productivity, revenue and customer satisfaction scores. Embed a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and exceptional customer service. Challenge existing processes, policies and behaviours where they hinder performance or customer experience. Improve individual and team performance through regular coaching, feedback and development. Analyse sales data and identify opportunities to improve individual and team performance. Drive change initiatives across the department, embedding new processes, technologies and ways of working. Work closely with marketing to improve lead quality, conversion and return on investment. Ensure all enquiries, quotations, call-backs and customer interactions are managed effectively. Produce accurate reporting and performance analysis for senior stakeholders. Champion company values and contribute positively to the wider business strategy. Who our client is looking for As Sales Manager, you will be commercially focused, highly resilient and passionate about developing people and delivering exceptional results. You will have the ability to influence others, challenge constructively and lead confidently through periods of change. In addition, our client is looking for the following experience and qualities: Significant experience within a sales management role, ideally within a contact centre or high-value sales environment A strong telephone sales background with a proven track record of delivering growth. Exceptional leadership, coaching and people development skills. Experience of leading organisational change and embedding new processes. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate data into meaningful actions. Experience of managing performance, improving productivity and increasing conversion rates. Strong commercial awareness and a detailed understanding of sales metrics and reporting. Experience of customer relationship management systems and telephony platforms. The ability to build credibility quickly and influence stakeholders at all levels. Outstanding communication, organisational and decision-making skills. Previous experience within the travel industry would be advantageous.
