We're looking for a
reliable and practical Production Machinery Operative / Relief Warehouse Operative
to join an established business in Basildon. This is a varied role combining
spiral tube production, machine operation, warehouse duties and stock control . You'll play an important part in ensuring products are manufactured to a high standard and customer orders are accurately prepared and dispatched. The Role
Operating the
Spiral Tube Forming Machine
to produce quality products to specification. Carrying out routine machine checks, cleaning and basic maintenance. Monitoring raw materials and finished stock levels. Reporting machine faults, damage or maintenance requirements. Receiving, checking and storing incoming goods. Picking, packing and preparing customer orders for dispatch. Loading and unloading vehicles safely. Maintaining accurate stock records and stock rotation. Using forklift trucks and pallet trucks as required. Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse. Supporting wider branch operations when required. Following all Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices. About You
We're looking for someone with: Previous
manufacturing, machine operation or production experience . Warehouse, stores or logistics experience. Counterbalance forklift experience and a current licence. Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Experience with stock control, picking, packing and dispatch. The ability to carry out basic equipment checks and identify faults. A strong understanding of Health & Safety and PPE requirements. The ability to safely handle goods weighing up to
25kg . A reliable, flexible and positive approach to work. Experience with spiral forming machinery, Reach forklifts, warehouse systems, trade counters or HVAC/ducting products would be an advantage. Benefits
