Behind every premium product is a safe, high-performing workplace. We are looking for a Work Health & Safety Advisor to join our team at our state-of-the-art Sassafras Processing Facility, just 20 minutes from Devonport. This role offers strong visibility across our Tasmanian processing operations and connection to our Ingleburn (NSW) site — giving you exposure to a dynamic, multi-site processing environment.

Our processing plants are fast-paced, highly regulated environments where food safety, people safety, and operational excellence intersect. As our WHS Advisor, you won’t sit behind a desk. You’ll be visible, trusted and hands-on — partnering with leaders and frontline teams to proactively manage risk, embed best practice, and continuously lift safety performance across our sites.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Build strong, engaging relationships at all levels across the business.
- Provide practical, technical WHS advice that leaders can act on.
- Facilitate and coach leaders through risk assessments and hazard identification.
- Lead meaningful toolbox discussions and on-floor interactions.
- Anticipate, identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices.
- Contribute to the development and review of SOPs and WHS procedures.
- Conduct and record scheduled WHS field inspections.
- Support WHS audits and systems improvements.
- Participate in incident investigations ensuring accurate reporting and learning outcomes.
- Monitor workplace conditions through regular site visits and field engagement.
- Support routine inspection and stocking of safety equipment.
- Champion WHS initiatives and promote a proactive safety culture.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualifications in WHS (or equivalent workplace experience).
- A genuine passion for coaching and influencing positive safety behaviours.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to proactively solve problems.
- Confidence identifying risks and taking action to eliminate or reduce them.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills — you can adapt your message to the audience.
- Proven stakeholder management skills across diverse operational teams.
- Experience in food manufacturing, processing, aquaculture or heavy industry environments will be highly regarded.
