Huon is seeking reliable and hardworking Hygiene Process Operators to join our afternoon cleaning team at our Parramatta Creek Processing Facility, located just 20 minutes from Devonport. This is a physically demanding role that plays a critical part in maintaining our food safety and quality standards.
About the role
- Starting at 3:00 pm, you'll work as part of our Hygiene Team, carrying out intensive cleaning of processing equipment and production areas to ensure the site is ready for the next day's operations.
- Industrial cleaning of processing equipment and factory areas
- Manual handling and repetitive physical work
- Lifting and carrying items up to 25kg
- Working safely with cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Following food safety, hygiene and WHS procedures
- Working as part of a supportive team in a fast-paced environment
What we're looking for
- A current Forklift Licence (essential)
- Previous hygiene, industrial or commercial cleaning experience
- Experience working in a manufacturing or food processing environment (highly regarded)
- An understanding of Workplace Health & Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Intermediate English skills with the ability to communicate, read and complete basic documentation
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform repetitive manual work, including lifting up to 25kg
- Full working rights for at least the next 12–18 months
