Looking for flexible, hands-on night work? Join Huon's Harvest team as a Casual Harvest Attendant and play an important role in delivering premium Tasmanian salmon to customers around the world. Working as part of a dedicated night shift crew, you'll help ensure our salmon are harvested safely, efficiently and with the highest standards of animal welfare, quality and biosecurity.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting with nightly harvest operations.
- Monitoring fish to ensure they remain as calm and stress-free as possible throughout the harvest process.
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene, biosecurity and workplace safety.
- Receiving training to assist with the maintenance of harvest equipment and infrastructure.
- Working collaboratively with your team to achieve production and quality targets.
This is a casual night shift position based at Hideaway Bay, offering the opportunity to work as part of a supportive, high-performing team.
About you
- You're reliable, safety-focused and enjoy working as part of a close-knit team.
- You take pride in producing quality work and are comfortable working night shifts.
- Ideally, you'll have experience in aquaculture or a similar industry (desirable but not essential).
- A strong work ethic and the flexibility to work night shifts.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- A current and valid driver's licence.
