Huntswood is on the lookout for skilled underwriters with a passion for motor finance to be part of a high-impact project with a leading industry provider. As a Motor Finance Underwriter, you\’ll be the decision-maker behind responsible lending-assessing applications, analysing creditworthiness, and determining the eligibility of both the customer and the vehicle. Your insights will directly shape lending outcomes, helping customers get behind the wheel while protecting the business from financial risk. It\’s a role where your expertise truly drives impact.
Start Date: ASAP
Day Rate: £275 per day – Husp only recruitment – This is only available to individuals working via the Husp umbrella company, we can assist you with this
Location: Primarily working from home, with on-site presence required in Oxford 2 days per week.
Working Hours: Shifts between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM, Monday to Sunday. Weekend availability is required, with time off provided during the week in lieu.

- Experience working in an underwriting role within financial services
- Motor finance underwriting experience is preferable
- Flexibility to work shifts between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM, Monday to Sunday
- Availability to work on-site in Oxford two days per month
- A suitable home workspace with a reliable broadband connection
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Confidence using multiple in-house systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word
