If you have a background in scrutinising issues like insider trading, then this Market Abuse Consultant role is perfect for you! As a Market Abuse Consultant, you will delve into past transactions to identify any instances of abuse, ensuring compliance with both company and regulatory standards.   • Day Rate: Dependent on Experience - Umbrella only recruitment

The ideal Market Abuse Consultant will have:

  • Demonstrable experience, at least three years, conducting trade surveillance and reviewing market abuse risks across different financial instruments
  • Knowledge of UK MAR, MiFID II, FCA expectations, ESMA guidance, and global market abuse regulations
  • Experience in Market Abuse Risk Assessment (MARA) methods and processes is essential
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risk scenarios, detect patterns, and interpret surveillance data effectively
  • Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels, including technical, front-office and IT teams
  • Demonstrable consulting and advisory experience within financial services
  • Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to identify priority targets
