The Packaging Planner will play a key role within the Procurement and Supply Chain team, contributing to the ordering, procurement, and timely availability of packaging that will contain our products. Working closely with the Procurement Team Leader, you’ll ensure that materials meet inventory targets and support a seamless production plan and delivery. This role requires collaboration across multiple departments, supplier relationship management, and attention to key performance metrics.
The position is based onsite in Duxford and operates on a Monday-Friday schedule.

Role Responsibilities:
As a Packaging Planner you will be responsible for :
Supporting the development of new procurement strategies and ordering patterns to improve packaging material availability while optimizing working capital.
Collaborating with the planning team to optimize requisition timing to align with production schedules and inventory goals.
Process SAP transactions to generate purchase requisitions in response to MRP requirements.
Work closely with the purchasing team to track and ensure timely delivery of packages from suppliers.
Conduct KPI reporting to monitor procurement performance.
Manage MRP system updates to support inventory and ordering accuracy.
Process invoices and handle related queries efficiently.
Foster strong working relationships with suppliers to improve communication and ensure reliable sourcing.
Collaborate with various departments for procuring non-stock items as needed.
Provide tolling support as required .
Assist with various project-based tasks within the procurement and supply chain scope.
Follow all site Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) guidelines and contribute to the quality requirements within production.
Provide holiday cover for the Procurement Team Leader as needed.
Experience and Competencies:
What we are looking for:
Previous professional experience in procurement or purchasing roles gained at manufacturing industry.
General knowledge of supply chain planning is sufficient; specific experience in raw materials or packaging is not required .
Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems is highly beneficial.
Proficiency with Excel and other major IT tools.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and leverage data for decision-making.
Keen attention to detail with a proven track record of delivering accurate results.
Effective communicator with a team-oriented mindset; able to coordinate across multiple locations (e.g., Krakow, Duxford).
Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adept at setting priorities amid ambiguity.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
