About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Pilot Plant Technician to support laboratory and pilot plant activities within our Process Development team. You’ll play a key role in new product introductions, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring smooth scale‑up to manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Handle hazardous chemicals safely and follow all EHS requirements.
- Maintain and validate lab and pilot plant equipment.
- Support lab trials, scale‑up activities, and technical investigations.
- Carry out final testing for new product introductions (NPIs).
- Manage raw materials/consumables for NPIs.
- Accurately complete batch sheets and technical documentation.
- Contribute to 5S and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, and R&T teams.
Qualifications
- A‑Level in Science or BTEC/NVQ/HND in Laboratory Science (or equivalent).
- Experience in a lab or technical environment.
- Strong EHS and quality focus.
- Good teamwork, communication, and organisation skills.
- Experience with epoxy/MMA systems is an advantage.
- High attention to detail; a completer–finisher mindset.
- Experience working within Quality Control environments.
- IT proficiency, ideally including SAP and Microsoft Office.
