We are currently recruiting for a proactive and organised Customer Services and Logistics Administrator for a prestigious client based in Milnsbridge, Huddersfield (HD3).
This is a permanent role, and the successful applicant will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service while coordinating the efficient movement of goods and ensuring smooth day-to-day operational processes.
In addition to customer service and logistics responsibilities, the role includes a range of administrative and operational support duties that contribute to the overall success of the business.
- Customer Service (Approximately 70β80% of the Role)
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer enquiries via telephone, email, and online channels.
- Deliver a professional, friendly, and responsive customer experience, building strong relationships with customers.
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all information is entered correctly.
- Provide customers with timely updates on orders, product availability, lead times, and deliveries.
- Resolve customer queries, complaints, and issues promptly, escalating where appropriate.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met and expectations are managed.
- Process returns, credits, and replacement orders in line with company procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and contribute to service improvements.
- Logistics Coordination (Supporting Role)
- Support the coordination of customer deliveries by liaising with suppliers, warehouse staff and transport providers.
- Monitor delivery schedules and communicate any delays or changes to customers and internal teams.
- Assist with arranging collections, dispatches, and return shipments.
- Prepare delivery documentation and maintain accurate logistics records.
- Work closely with the operations team to help ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Assist in resolving delivery-related queries and escalating issues where necessary.
- Administration and Operational Support
- Act as a key point of contact for a variety of operational tasks outside the standard remit of the role.
- Maintain accurate records, filing systems, and operational documentation.
- Produce routine reports relating to customer service and order management.
- Support purchase order processing and supplier communications where required.
- Assist with invoicing, credit notes, returns and general administrative tasks.
- Contribute to the review and improvement of customer service and operational processes.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Previous experience in customer service, logistics, supply chain, or operations coordination.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with Sage is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
