Our Duxford site is part of Huntsman’s Advanced Materials division, focused on delivering high-performance solutions for global industries. We are hiring a Production Chemist to strengthen our production team and drive continuous improvement in quality, safety, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Act as a technical expert for production operations and KPI delivery.
- Support and lead continuous improvement projects using LEAN tools (VSM, SMED, Kaizen).
- Review and update process instructions, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Lead investigations into safety and quality issues; ensure CAPA implementation.
- Drive cost-saving programs and deliver technical training for operators.
- Manage production data, analyze trends, and report KPIs to identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with Quality and other departments to resolve technical issues.
Qualifications
- PhD, MSc, or BSc in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 2–3 years in production or process development (preferably in a multinational industrial environment).
- Knowledge of organic, polymeric, and epoxy chemistry.
- Understanding of chemical engineering and production processes.
- Proficiency in analytical methodology and statistical principles.
- Knowledge of SAP and MS Office.
- Experience with LEAN tools and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Independent, proactive, and eager to learn.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and work under pressure.
- Project management and stakeholder engagement.
