Huntsman are delighted to have partnered with a leading UK consultancy that are looking for a life science focused Project Director with Employers Agent/Contract admin experience. The role is based in Berkshire, and the successful candidate will likely be needed on site 4+ days per week. This role will have oversight from a Director but you will be the focal point for the client and the project, responsible for the project team and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the design and build project from inception to completion.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets with other suppliers.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Prepare and present project reports and documentation.
  • Maintain a strong Health and Safety Culture throughout the supply chain.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Administer contracts, namely the JCT D&B contract, ensuring compliance and managing any changes or disputes.
  • General contract administration skills, such as preparing and reviewing contract documents, managing contract performance, and ensuring all contractual obligations are met.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry.
  • Experience in life sciences or similar projects is preferred (Pharma/Health/Critical Environment).
  • Proficiency in using JCT contracts.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a great scheme and for a great firm that are able to provide clear progression to senior leadership tiers. On offer is a base salary of £80,000 to £100,000, depending on level of experience. In addition, the benefits package is excellent. Candidates must be able to drive to site due to its location.
