As part of an ambitious strategic growth plan, Huntsman are supporting a leading UK Consultancy to appoint a Lead Director to drive the continued growth of their CDM and Principal Designer service based in London.
This is a senior, commercially focused appointment for an individual who can combine market knowledge, client relationships and business development capability with a strong technical understanding of CDM and Principal Designer services.
The successful individual will take a leading role in defining and executing the growth strategy for the service across the London market.

Someone who is well connected within the London property and construction market, understands where opportunities exist and has the credibility and relationships to turn those opportunities into new business.
- You will be responsible for developing and executing the strategic growth plan for the London CDM and Principal Designer service.
- You will identify, develop and win new business opportunities and leverage an established network of clients, developers, investors, contractors and professional advisers.
- You will build long term senior level client relationships and position the business as a trusted strategic adviser.
- You will lead pitches, tenders and client presentations and identify opportunities to grow the service across existing client accounts and new markets.
- You will provide commercial and strategic leadership to the London team and work closely with the wider leadership team to develop the firm's overall CDM and Principal Designer proposition.
- You will also support the continued recruitment, development and growth of the team as the service expands.
- Necessary Experience
- This role is likely to suit an experienced Partner, Director or senior Associate Director who has already demonstrated the ability to develop a market, win work and build strong client relationships.
- You will ideally bring a strong track record in CDM, Principal Designer or wider construction health and safety consultancy.
- You will have an established network across the London property and construction market, with demonstrable experience of winning new business and generating revenue.
- Strong senior level client relationships and the commercial confidence to identify opportunities and convert them into instructions will be essential.
- You will also have experience leading and developing teams, alongside strong knowledge of the CDM Regulations 2015 and the Principal Designer role.
- Experience working for a Consultancy or similar.
