Children's Residential Support Worker – Therapeutic Care Location: Crawley, West Sussex
Salary: From £14.45 per hour (£29,304.60) + £3,000–£6,000 per year in additional sleep-in payments
Hours: Full-time, 39 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Shifts: Rolling rota including long days and sleep-ins
About the Role Hunts Recruitment is seeking compassionate, resilient and enthusiastic Children's Residential Support Workers to join a specialist children's residential home in Crawley, West Sussex.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people who require additional emotional, behavioural and therapeutic support.
You will be joining a small, established two-bedroom residential home, rated Good by Ofsted , with an experienced and supportive team dedicated to helping young people build confidence, develop independence and achieve positive outcomes.
The home provides specialist support to young people who may experience emotional difficulties, mental health challenges, self-injurious behaviours and other complex needs.
Working alongside experienced professionals and therapeutic specialists, you will play an important role in creating a safe, nurturing and positive environment.
Your Responsibilities Provide emotional, practical and behavioural support to children and young people.
Build positive, trusting relationships and act as a consistent, reliable role model.
Support young people with their daily routines, independence and personal development.
Encourage participation in hobbies, activities and community outings.
Promote positive behaviour using a therapeutic, person-centred approach.
Respond calmly and professionally to challenging situations.
Maintain a safe, welcoming home environment, including supporting with cooking, cleaning and other household responsibilities.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to deliver individualised care.
