Are you an experienced commercial leader with a proven track record of driving profitable growth, developing high-value customer relationships and leading successful commercial teams? We are partnering with a well-established and growing organisation to recruit a Head of Commercial. This is a strategic leadership role, responsible for shaping and delivering the commercial strategy, driving sustainable revenue growth and ensuring exceptional customer engagement across a diverse customer portfolio.

Working as part of the senior leadership team, you will play a key role in aligning commercial activity with operational capability, identifying new market opportunities and building a high-performing commercial function.

The Role

  • Developing and delivering the company's commercial strategy in line with long-term business objectives.
  • Driving revenue, profitability and margin growth across existing and new customers.
  • Building and maintaining long-term strategic customer partnerships.
  • Leading commercial negotiations, contract management and annual business planning.
  • Identifying new business opportunities and supporting market expansion.
  • Leading, developing and inspiring a high-performing commercial and sales team.
  • Managing sales forecasting, pipeline management and commercial performance reporting.
  • Working collaboratively with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and Product teams to ensure customer commitments can be delivered efficiently.

About You

We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Significant experience in a senior commercial leadership position within manufacturing, FMCG, food, consumer goods, distribution or a related sector.
  • A proven track record of delivering profitable sales growth and commercial success.
  • Experience managing key national accounts and strategic customer relationships.
  • Strong commercial negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Experience leading and developing successful commercial or sales teams.
  • Strong financial awareness with the ability to analyse commercial performance and drive improvements.
  • Excellent strategic planning, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to work cross-functionally, balancing customer expectations with operational capability.
