The Role

This senior Purchasing & Planning Manager role, reporting directly to the MD, will be pivotal in driving efficiency across procurement, stock control, and forecasting. The successful Purchasing & Planning Manager will lead the full implementation of a new MRP system (experience with Sage/Sicon highly advantageous), ensuring it becomes a core tool for optimising processes and supporting growth.

Alongside MRP implementation, you’ll manage supplier relationships, negotiate best-value contracts, source internationally, and mentor one team member. You’ll also collaborate closely with sales and finance to align supply chain planning with business objectives.

What You’ll Need

  • Proven experience setting up and running MRP systems
  • 5+ years in a Purchasing Management role
  • International sourcing expertise
  • Strong negotiation and organisational skills
  • CIPS qualification (advantageous)

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive salary, including 25 days holiday, private healthcare and two yearly bonuses
  • Key leadership role reporting directly to the MD
  • The chance to lead a business-critical system implementation
  • A collaborative, supportive team environment

You’ll be joining a small but highly successful, non-corporate business where everyone rolls up their sleeves and gets stuck in.

That means you’ll need to combine hands-on purchasing with strategic system leadership — making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility, and visible impact.
