Charity | Care Sector Payroll | Temporary (PAYE)
Our client, a charity delivering care and support services, is looking for a hands-on, safe pair of hands to take full, sole ownership of payroll: an experienced Payroll Manager with genuine, demonstrable care sector payroll experience.
What you'll need:
- Strong, hands-on payroll management experience within the care sector - essential
- Sage payroll software experience - essential
- CIPP qualified preferred - exceptional care sector experience without CIPP will still be considered
- Confident working sole-charge, with no payroll team around you
- Sona rostering system exposure desirable - you’ll work closely with the Rostering Lead to ensure hours translate accurately into pay
- Immediately available to interview and start
Care sector payroll complexities you'll need to know:
- Multiple terms and conditions of employment
- Relief workers and variable hours
- Overtime and sleep-in payments
- Sickness and absence management
- Salary sacrifice pension scheme
- Group Life Insurance
- Monthly payroll processing and compliance requirements
The role:
- Full ownership of payroll, start to finish, for a care sector workforce
- Reports to the HR Director and works closely with HR Leads & Rostering Lead
- Temporary, PAYE
- Handover from 12 October - current postholder leaves 21 October
- West Norwood - office-based 2 days/week - 9am to 5.30pm with 30min lunch - 37.5hr week
