Payroll Assistant, Ashford Salary – £30,000 Key Duties: Full range of payroll duties including the processing of annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly payrolls. Preparing and drafting documents such as pay slips, P45s and P60’s. Processing Real Time Information (RTI) submissions to HMRC as required. End of Year processing and reconciliations including end of year RTI submissions. Processing tax code changes. Processing all new starters, leavers, absence, statutory leave and pay. Processing payroll reports for management. Ensuring compliance with tax, NI, and pension contributions. Following and helping to develop processes for the delivery of payroll work. Providing first line support for payroll queries. Supporting the finance team with general finance duties, including reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and assisting with month-end processes. Developing and maintaining good working relationships. Qualifications: 1-2 years experience working in a busy payroll function.
