A highly established International College based in the City of London is looking to recruit a Senior ER Advisor on a 6-month contract to join their busy HR Team. You will provide HR guidance and partner with managers across the organisation to deliver effective people solutions, ensure legal compliance, and support organisational change. You will play a vital role in driving best practice across employee relations, policy development, performance management and employee engagement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing expert advice and support to managers on complex employee relations matters, including absence, performance, conduct, capability, redundancy, and grievance.
- Maintaining a detailed understanding of employment law, evolving case law, and people management best practice.
- Developing, enhancing, and maintaining HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all legal and internal Safeguarding requirements.
- Creating and delivering essential HR process training, webinars, and written guidance to managers.
- Driving the timely completion of key performance and development processes, offering guidance and feedback to managers on quality.
- Supporting business-wide employee engagement activities and initiatives, including the annual Employee Engagement Survey.
- Actively contributing ideas and suggestions to aid the ongoing development and continuous improvement of the HR function.
- Supporting managers on the planning, communication, and execution of organisational redesigns and change management programs to minimize disruption and maximize employee adoption.
Key skills and experience required:
- Experienced Senior HR / ER Advisor that has worked in a large sized company, 10,000 + staff.
- Significant experience of providing HR support on complex casework is essential.
- Experience in working in Education; however, open to other industries.
- Sound judgement underpinned by detailed knowledge and practical experience of employment law and best practice is essential.
- Extensive Employer Relations experience, dealing with all levels of cases independently.
- Very detail orientated, able to demonstrate step by step from end-to-end employee relations case.
