Legal Cashier
Location: Maidstone
Salary: £30,000 – £32,000

Are you an experienced Legal Cashier looking to join a respected and established practice?

The successful candidate will ensure all financial transactions are processed in accordance with SRA Accounts Rules, Money Laundering Regulations, and internal compliance procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately recording and processing financial transactions across client and office accounts
- Performing daily and regular bank reconciliations
- Managing payments including electronic transfers, petty cash, and disbursements
- Administering deposit accounts and calculating client interest as required
- Assisting with transfers between accounts and maintaining up-to-date records
- Supporting compliance and internal audits through accurate data handling and adherence to procedures
- Providing guidance to team members on finance protocols and SRA regulations
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience as a Legal Cashier within a legal or professional services environment
- Strong working knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules and best practice in legal finance
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload with accuracy
- Confidence using legal finance software and MS Office (particularly Excel)
- A proactive and team-oriented approach
