Employee Relations Manager (NHS)
£30 - £35 per hour Location: Hybrid (2-3 days onsite / 2-3 days remote) Contract: 3 Months Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday
Are you an experienced Employee Relations Manager with a strong NHS background?
We are recruiting for an immediate opportunity within a busy NHS organisation, supporting the delivery of high-quality employee relations services during a period of change.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional who can confidently manage complex employee relations matters, influence senior stakeholders, and provide expert HR advice within a fast‑paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on a wide range of complex employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, capability, sickness absence and performance management.
- Provide expert HR advice and guidance to senior managers and clinical leaders.
- Support organisational change, workforce planning and service improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, NHS policies and best practice.
- Build strong relationships with managers, trade unions and key stakeholders.
- Coach and develop managers to improve people management capability.
About You
- Recent and relevant NHS Employee Relations experience.
- Experience working within an NHS Trust (Acute Trust experience highly desirable).
- CIPD qualification (or equivalent).
- Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and NHS HR policies.
- Proven experience managing complex ER cases from start to finish.
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills.
- The ability to work independently while managing a varied and demanding workload.
