An established manufacturing business is looking for a part-time HR Assistant to provide essential support across a range of HR functions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment and enjoys working with people and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
- Keep the HR database current by logging changes such as new joiners, departures, and contract updates.
- Respond to general HR-related enquiries from staff, offering clear and timely guidance.
- Assist with the preparation of HR correspondence, including employment confirmations and reference letters.
- Support the administration of performance reviews and probationary evaluations.
- Help manage the recruitment cycle by liaising with agencies, reviewing applications, and scheduling interviews.
- Organise health assessments for employees and follow up on any required actions.
- Conduct background checks and ensure all pre-employment screening is completed.
- Facilitate exit processes, including interviews and documentation, and compile feedback for analysis.
- Provide administrative support on employee relations matters under the guidance of the HR Manager.
Candidate Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in HR administration or a related role, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
- Holds a CIPD Level 3 qualification or has equivalent practical knowledge.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with a professional and approachable manner.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling sensitive data.
- Familiarity with HR software systems and confident using Microsoft Office tools.
- Able to work discreetly with confidential information and maintain professional integrity.
