An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CAD Designer to join a well-established and growing fire detection and protection specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong technical background in fire alarm and emergency lighting system design, looking to play a key role in delivering high-quality, compliant solutions across a range of commercial and industrial projects.
Location: Remote working, with occasional travel to the Reading office
Salary: Up to £70,000 DOE
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed CAD drawings, layouts and schematics for fire detection and fire protection systems
- Design systems in accordance with current British Standards and client specifications
- Ensure all designs are fully compliant with relevant legislation and industry best practice
- Support projects from initial concept through to installation and final handover
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, surveyors and commercial teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Review and amend existing drawings to reflect design changes and site requirements
- Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation
- Provide technical support to installation and commissioning teams where required
