Overview
Are you a highly organised and detail-oriented finance and accounts professional looking for a new challenge to start immediately? We are recruiting for an Accounts Payable Officer to join a company based in Brighton on a temporary basis for 3 months. This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week, with hybrid working (3 days in the office and 2 days from home). Salary: £23.9k-£27k per annum.
Responsibilities
- Managing the accounts payable inbox and responding to payment queries in a timely manner
- Processing and coding of invoices and purchase orders
- Updating and maintaining financial accounts, documentation, and data such as addresses, payment terms, and other contact details
- Monitoring overdue accounts, issuing reminders and negotiating payments
- Liaising with other departments and supporting with daily and weekly accounts payable administration tasks when required
Requirements / Qualifications
- Knowledge of accounts payable systems including invoice processing
- Experience working in a fast-paced accounts payable function
- Excellent numerical, communication and organisational skills
- High attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines
