Have you got previous experience working in a fast-paced accounts payable function, looking for a new opportunity to begin in June? We are recruiting for a temporary Accounts Payable Manager for 3-6 months, working for a company based in Brighton, where you will be based in the office 3 days a week and working from home for the remaining 2 days. This is a full-time opportunity, working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week and paying a salary of £40k-£50k (DOE).
You will be responsible for the development and management of the Accounts Payable function of the business. Duties will include:
- Managing and supporting the Accounts Payable team with driving continuous process improvement
- Working closely with Debt and Payroll Coordinators to ensure accounting controls operate efficiently
- Assisting with the purchase order management, processing invoices, approvals, and payments to suppliers
- Supporting cashflow management by overseeing the bank reconciliation process and weekly payment forecasting
- Dealing with company credit card returns, petty cash, and cash advances
- Responsible for expenses including approval processes and statement reconciliation
- Arranging meetings with suppliers and advising them on any potential payment and/or fraud risks
- Liaising with the Head of Procurement to ensure policies and procedures are followed
- Supporting the Assistant Director of Finance Operations when required
To be successful, you must be AAT qualified and have proven experience working in a fast-paced accounts payable function with management experience. You must also have strong numerical skills and strong attention to detail, as well as a good understanding of Partial Exemption VAT rules.
