We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Litigation Lawyer to join their Place Team on a temporary basis for approximately 3 months. This is a great opportunity for a qualified lawyer to deliver high-quality legal advice and representation within a busy, supportive local authority legal service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling civil litigation, including appeals under the Housing Act 2004 in the First-Tier Tribunal, with associated advocacy
- Providing high-quality legal advice, assistance and representation to the Council across relevant areas of law
- Advising on the interpretation and application of council policies, procedures and governance requirements
- Complying with quality assurance procedures, service level agreements and performance management requirements
- Contributing to a culture of learning, knowledge sharing and excellence within Legal Services
- Liaising with stakeholders in a way that promotes the Council's values and behaviours
