We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and growing business based in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded professional to play a key role in managing project costs, maximising profitability, and supporting the successful delivery of construction projects across a range of sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the full commercial management of allocated construction projects from start to finish.
  • Working from drawings, specifications, bills of quantities, and scopes to develop accurate commercial assessments.
  • Producing clear and accurate client quotations and supporting tender submissions.
  • Managing valuations, applications for payment, variations, and final account agreements.
  • Monitoring project budgets closely, tracking costs, and producing regular financial forecasts and reports.
  • Identifying potential commercial and contractual risks, taking proactive steps to minimise exposure.
  • Procuring materials and subcontractor services, including negotiation of pricing and terms.
  • Managing subcontractor accounts while maintaining strong and effective supply chain relationships.
  • Working collaboratively with operational, technical, and finance teams to ensure project alignment and delivery.

The ideal candidate:

  • Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant commercial software.
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline is desirable.
