A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly organised Project Administrator to join a professional and collaborative team based in Huddersfield. This is a varied role where you will provide dedicated administrative support to a busy project team, taking responsibility for a large volume of information, project documentation, spreadsheets and mailboxes. The role would suit someone who is confident managing detailed administration, working independently and keeping multiple workstreams organised.

The role:

  • Provide proactive administrative support to the project team, maintaining and regularly updating spreadsheets, documents and reports.
  • Take ownership of dedicated project mailboxes, monitoring incoming correspondence and ensuring information is dealt with promptly and appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and document control, ensuring files are correctly version controlled and easily accessible.
  • Maintain project trackers including RFIs, submissions, change orders and action points, monitoring outstanding items and following up where required.
  • Coordinate project meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, organising reports, taking minutes and circulating actions.
  • Provide wider administration support to project teams, including arranging meetings, preparing documents, audio typing, photocopying, scanning and maintaining records.
  • Support the preparation of presentations and meeting papers.
  • Communicate professionally with colleagues, clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and other third parties.
  • Provide support to the Office Manager with the smooth running of the Huddersfield office when required.
  • Assist with meeting room management, visitors, catering, deliveries, post, stationery, office supplies and general office administration.

About you:

  • Previous strong administration experience is essential.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Strong previous experience managing and maintaining spreadsheets.
  • Previous experience managing a mailbox or high-volume email environment.
  • Highly organised and methodical with excellent attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of your workload.
  • Able to manage competing priorities and work effectively to deadlines.
  • Professional and confident when communicating with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong written communication and copy typing skills.
  • A proactive, flexible and reliable approach to work.
  • Power BI experience would be advantageous but training can be provided.
