Our client is a fast-growing organisation that connects people with life-changing support - think purpose-driven, values-led, and genuinely making a difference. As they scale, they’re creating a brand-new role at the heart of the business: Office Manager. This isn’t a role you’ll be handed a rulebook for - it’s one you’ll help write. You’ll take ownership of everything that keeps the office running: from front-of-house and facilities, to onboarding, compliance, HR admin, supplier management and company culture. It’s varied, hands-on, and genuinely pivotal - the kind of role that grows as fast as you’re willing to grow it.
What you’ll be doing:
- Running the day-to-day office - welcoming visitors, keeping things organised, making sure the team has what it needs (including IT and facilities)
- Owning onboarding and offboarding - from kit and access to HR records and right-to-work
- Supporting compliance and safeguarding admin (full training given - no specialist background required, just precision and follow-through)
- Managing supplier and contract relationships, keeping an eye on renewals and value for money
- Championing company culture - planning socials, running company meetings, gathering feedback and helping close the loop
- Owning day-to-day health & safety
- Spotting what’s inefficient and fixing it - this role has real scope to build and improve processes as the business grows
Who we’re looking for:
We’re open on background - what matters is how you operate. You might be:
- An experienced Office Manager who’s used to juggling front-of-house, facilities, HR admin and operational processes with confidence, or
- A highly capable administrator - switched-on, organised, and ready to step up into a role with real ownership and room to make it your own
Either way, you’ll be:
- Proactive and ownership-driven - you take responsibility and see things through
- Process-minded - you enjoy making things run better
- A people person - confident, personable, and comfortable being the go-to face of the office
- Trustworthy with confidential and sensitive information
- Comfortable working in a growing, evolving environment where priorities shift
Why apply:
This is a genuinely pivotal, newly-created role - not a box-ticking admin job. You’ll have real influence over how the office and its processes are shaped, direct visibility with leadership, and the chance to grow the role (and yourself) as the business scales. This role is offered initially as a 12-month fixed-term contract, with a genuine view to going permanent for the right person.
