An established and well-regarded law firm in Guildford is looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to join them on a 14-month maternity contract. This is a varied, hands-on role offering hybrid working, excellent exposure to high-quality legal work and the chance to make a real impact.
The role
- Provide comprehensive legal and administrative support to a team of fee earners, helping to keep matters running smoothly from start to finish.
- Support solicitors and partners with day-to-day administration.
- Open and close files and maintain case management systems.
- Manage billing processes and support month-end activities.
- Diary management, meeting coordination and deadline tracking.
- Audio and copy typing, document formatting and proofreading.
- Maintain accurate electronic and hard-copy filing systems.
- Handle client calls and general enquiries professionally.
- Prepare correspondence, bundles, reports and standard documentation.
About you
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or within a law firm environment.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident using MS Office (Outlook, Word and Excel) and digital dictation.
