We're working with a well-established, highly regarded professional services business that is looking to appoint an HR Assistant to join its friendly and supportive team. This is a varied, hands-on role within a small HR function. It would suit someone who enjoys being at the heart of a busy team, getting involved across the full employee lifecycle, and building strong relationships across the business.
The role will involve:
- Acting as a first point of contact for general HR queries, providing guidance on policies and procedures
- Supporting onboarding and offboarding processes, including contracts, referencing and inductions
- Assisting with recruitment coordination and general HR administration
- Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems, ensuring GDPR compliance
- Supporting performance review and appraisal processes
- Liaising with payroll providers and assisting with payroll-related queries
- Contributing to HR projects, audits and continuous improvement initiatives
About you:
- Previous HR experience within a busy environment
- Good understanding of employment legislation and HR best practice
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Confident communicator, able to build relationships at all levels
- Comfortable using HR systems and Microsoft Office/SharePoint
