I'm recruiting on behalf of a reputable organisation, with offices based in Brighton. They are looking for a friendly, proactive, experienced Finance Assistant who enjoys proactive Credit Control.
You will join a small, collaborative finance team, where you will take full ownership of the Sale Ledger and Credit Control, along with Purchase Ledger and other finance admin duties.
Main Responsibilities
- Proactive Credit Control
- Allocate daily receipts to the Sales Ledger and monitor incoming payments
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all debt collection activity
- Process and reconcile bank transactions
- Manage the purchase ledger, supplier payments, and VAT queries
- Support with payroll, journal entries, and general month-end/year-end duties
- Maintain credit card expense and petty cash records
- Perform general admin tasks (calls, emails, filing, scanning)
