An established and growing investment group is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join its central finance function. This is a varied role supporting across multiple sites, with responsibility for day-to-day financial bookkeeping, management accounting, cost control and financial reporting across the group.
The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience within hospitality, hotels, restaurants, property or another multi-site environment, together with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage a varied workload.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing accurate financial records using Xero, Sage 50 or similar accounting software
- Reconciling daily income and expenditure against bank statements
- Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Preparing management accounts, reconciliations and group consolidations across multiple entities
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Managing payroll and maintaining accurate payroll records
- Preparing and supporting VAT returns
- Assisting with financial reporting and general finance administration
- Liaising with external accountants and auditors and supporting tax-related requirements
- Maintaining accurate financial records and filing
- Working with colleagues across different properties to improve financial processes and business operations
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 5 years' relevant accounting experience, ideally gained within a multi-site organisation
- Experience of group accounting and/or multi-site environments
- Strong knowledge of AP, AR, reconciliations and management accounting
- Experience preparing management accounts and financial reports
- Previous payroll processing experience
- Good working knowledge of Xero, Sage 50 or similar accounting systems
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a varied workload
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication skills and the confidence to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- A relevant accounting or finance qualification would be advantageous but is not essential where there is strong relevant experience.
