Accounts Assistant - 12 MONTH FTC Our client is a leading logistics supplier delivering specialist services to clients across the UK and internationally. They're looking for a proactive, organised, and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their busy and friendly finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous accounting experience who wants to grow their career within a dynamic, expanding organisation. You'll support a wide range of accounting functions while also assisting with credit control, helping to maintain strong financial processes and healthy cash flow. Accounts & Financial Administration Manage day-to-day accounting activities using Sage 50 Process purchase and sales invoices in both UK and overseas currencies Reconcile bank accounts and company credit card statements Administer supplier bank verification procedures, including verbal and written confirmations Process employee expense claims Create remittances and liaise with suppliers regarding payments Work closely with the Operations team to reconcile supplier invoices Investigate and resolve supplier account discrepancies promptly Maintain and update customer and supplier account information, including bank details Assist with customer invoicing, supplier payments, and bank reconciliations Liaise with domestic and international customers on account queries and financial transactions Assist with the preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns Approve and process international payments and foreign currency transactionsCredit Control Support Provide support to the Credit Control function, including cover during absences Review customer accounts and identify overdue balances Monitor weekly aged debt reports and escalate concerns where necessary Maintain professional customer relationships while supporting timely collection of outstanding paymentsWhat we are looking for includes Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, or Accounts Administrator role Experience using Sage 50 or similar accounting software Strong Microsoft Excel and data entry skills Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Strong communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Comfortable liaising with customers, suppliers, colleagues, and senior management Experience working with overseas transactions and multiple currencies is advantageousWhat's On Offer Full training and ongoing professional development opportunities Temporary-to-permanent opportunity with long-term career prospects On-site gym facilities and showers Comfortable breakout area and staff facilities Regular team-building activities and social events Friendly and supportive working environmentLocation: Horsham, West Sussex Contract: Temporary to Permanent Hours: Full-Time Apply now to join a growing finance team with a specialist logistics and aerospace support business.
