About the Role
Join us as a Support Officer in our Revenues and Benefits team, where you will be a key point of contact for customers needing help with Council Tax and Benefits. As a Support Officer, you’ll be a friendly and knowledgeable first point of contact for customers who need help with Council Tax and Benefits. You’ll spend much of your time speaking with customers by phone and email, answering questions, guiding them through applications, and helping them understand the support available to them. Alongside this, you’ll make sure customer information is accurately recorded by scanning, indexing and updating documents and managing system uploads. You will work closely with your colleagues to keep cases moving smoothly and to provide a reliable, high‑quality service. This is a varied and rewarding role where what you do each day genuinely makes a difference to the people who live and work in our district.
