This is an important and supportive role required to allow the credit controllers (also part of the receivables team) to focus on debt recovery. It provides administrative support to the receivables team, with occasional support to the payables team during peak times and providing holiday cover where necessary.
Using the council’s finance system to raise invoices, credit notes, load daily cash receipts and resolve queries from both internal and external customers. You will be the first point of contact for the team, dealing with external and internal email inboxes, receiving and making phone calls and emails.
Prior experience in a similar role is ideal and it is expected that you will bring a strong customer focus, excellent communication skills and a desire to learn to support the delivery of work within the team. The post requires a basic DBS check. An offer of employment is conditional upon having the right to work in the UK.
