The Job holder is responsible for producing machining/fabrication and assembly drawings along with associated documents.

They assist with a variety of duties including but not limited to – updating existing drawings/files, producing schematic/layouts, contributing to technical manuals and compiling design control documentation.

The job holder is expected to work on a range of equipment ranging from fabricated skid based hydraulic units / transport frames to pressure control / downhole tools.

The job holder is expected to complete their assigned tasks/responsibilities accurately within a planned timescale to meet specific deadlines.

Attention to detail and a systematic approach to design file and drawing control are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Producing detailed design drawing, using Autodesk inventor/Autocad
  • Revising designs, following change management procedures
  • Drawing and documentation control in line with Hunting and industry body process
  • Producing specification sheets
  • Creating technical manuals
  • Providing cover and support to the department as and when needed

Qualifications, Skills And Experience

Essential:

  • HNC (or similar) in a Mechanical Engineering discipline
  • Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD software – ideally Autodesk
  • Drafting experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsHighly proficient in spoken and written English
  • Full Driving Licence

Desirable:

  • Experience of DNV / API standards
  • Knowledge and experience of an ERP system, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365

  • Excellent communication (both written and oral), influencing and interpersonal skills
  • High degree of commercial acumen
  • Highly professional conduct
  • Must be willing to travel and able to spend time away from home
  • Strong team working skills and a high level of autonomy
  • Attention to detail
