The job holder is responsible for the assembly, testing and maintenance of Wireline - Pressure Control Equipment (PCE) and Downhole Tools (DHT), in accordance with Company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Disassembly, inspection, redressing, reassembly, pressure, and function testing of Wireline PCE tools such as Crossovers, Lubricators, Pump In Subs & Insitu Subs, Stuffing Boxes, Liquid Seal Subs, Greaseheads and Wireline Valves (WLV), Hydraulic Ball Valves, Non Hunting Products, Gate Valves & Ezi-Shear & Seal Valves.
- Disassembly, inspection, redressing, reassembly, pressure, and function testing of DHT’s (Slickline Tools) such as Variball Roller Systems, Pulling Tools, Releasable Overshots, Wireline Accelerators, Hydraulic Jars.
- Have a complete awareness and understanding for all PCE and DHT’s working towards fault finding and troubleshooting.
- Reading and understanding of engineering/manufacturing drawings and assimilate data.
- Using Hydraulic Pumps for pressure testing PCE.
- Water blasting of Hunting and customer owned PCE.
- Safely moving goods around via a Forklift and electric pallet truck.
- The job holder will be required to work overtime, sometimes on a regular basis to meet the needs within the department, which can often be requested at short notice.
- Ensuring that Risk Assessments are completed accurately, and highlighted hazards are adapted accordingly to ensure zero risk for all personnel, for required duties.
- Assisting with maintenance work to facilities, plant, and equipment within the workshop or in the open (yard), when required.
- Ensuring that the Workshop and Yard area are always kept clean and clear of debris, inclusive of keeping yard clear from snow and ice in the winter, promoting a safe working environment always.
- Providing support, assisting, and regularly communicating with the Assembly and Test Department, both formally and informally as required to ensure the highest level of operations and expectations are understood.
- Gaining product knowledge on Hunting and customer owned PCE and DHT.
- To be familiar with and use of the quality system documentation and forms as applicable to the role of the position and the tasks to be performed.
- Deputising for the Lead Hand as and when required.
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- HNC/HND (or working towards) in Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant subject with proven experience in a similar role of at least two years.
- Working knowledge of industry standards and specifications.
- Working knowledge of PCE and DHT.
- Mechanically sympathetic.
- Forklift Training.
- Manual handling.
- High Pressure Water Jetting Awareness.
- Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
Desirable
- Knowledge and experience of an ERP system, ideally Microsoft AX or Dynamics 365.
- Full Driving Licence.
