The team advises on a broad range of complex and high-value disputes, with particular strength in residential property matters. Working closely with a leading Residential Property team, the disputes practice offers a fully integrated service across the lifecycle of property ownership. The team acts for high-net-worth individuals, landed estates, developers and investors, providing strategic advice on contentious issues affecting valuable property assets.
An Associate or Senior Associate is sought to join a Tier 1 Real Estate Disputes team. The role will involve advising on a broad mix of property litigation matters, with a primary focus on high-value residential disputes. The successful candidate will work closely with partners and senior lawyers on complex cases, while also managing their own caseload. The role offers exposure to premium-quality work and the opportunity to develop within a highly ranked and collaborative team environment.
- Advising on a wide range of real estate disputes, with a strong emphasis on residential property matters.
- Handling disputes relating to landlord and tenant issues, leasehold enfranchisement, rights of way, easements and restrictive covenants.
- Acting on high-value and often complex disputes involving prime and super-prime residential assets.
- Supporting on matters involving the Building Safety Act, where relevant.
- Managing cases from initial instruction through to resolution, including litigation and alternative dispute resolution.
- Working closely with the Residential Property team to provide a seamless, integrated service to clients.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, delivering clear and commercially focused advice.
- Contributing to business development initiatives and supporting the continued growth of the practice.
A qualified solicitor with experience in real estate disputes gained at a recognised City or leading regional firm is required. Strong technical grounding in property litigation, ideally with exposure to both residential and commercial matters is essential. Experience working on high-value or complex disputes is desirable. Familiarity with Building Safety Act matters would be advantageous but is not essential. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail are necessary, along with strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with high-net-worth clients. A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within a partner-led team is important.
